The Nanoscience Centre

Cambridge University nanofabrication and characterisation facility

Wet Lab

The Wet Lab is well equipped for non-cleanroom processing. Activities include preparation of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), cleaning substrates, acid etching and perfluorination. The fumehoods are equipped with nitrogen guns and DI water.

One hood contains the Schlenk Line, which provides a means of handling chemicals under inert gas or vacuum.

Our Protein Technologies PS3 peptide synthesizer is used to make peptides for in-house use that are then purified and analysed using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
